Candidate Qualifications: A Brief Summary
- Arizona Senate & House:

- U.S. Citizen by election day
- 25 years old
- 3 years resident of Arizona
- 1 year resident of the county from which running
- able to read and write the English language
- not convicted of treason or a felony, unless restored to civil rights
- not adjudicated an incapacitated person
- Arizona Executive Branch Offices (Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, and Superintendent of Public Instruction):

- U.S. Citizen for 10 years
- 25 years old
- 5 years citizen of Arizona
- able to read and write the English language
- not convicted of treason or a felony, unless restored to civil rights
- not adjudicated an incapacitated person
- Corporation Commissioner:

- U.S. Citizen
- 18 years old
- resident of Arizona for at least 29 days
- able to read and write the English language
- not convicted of treason or a felony, unless restored to civil rights
- not adjudicated an incapacitated person
- not in the employ of or holding an official relation to a corporation
- not subject to regulations by the Corporation Commission
- not owning stocks or bonds of a corporation subject to regulation
- not who is pecuniarily interested therein
- State Mine Inspector:

- U.S. Citizen
- 30 years old
- resident of Arizona for 2 years
- able to read and write the English language
- not convicted of treason or a felony, unless restored to civil rights
- not adjudicated an incapacitated person
- have been practically engaged in, and acquainted with, mines and mining in this state
- have had at least 4 years' experience in underground mining
- 3 additional years in either underground mining, smelting, open pit mining, or experience in any industry under the jurisdiction of the state mine inspector
- County Public Offices (Sheriff, County Attorney, Recorder, Treasurer, Assessor, Superintendent of Schools, Supervisors, Clerk of the Court, Justice of the Peace, Constable):

- U.S. Citizen
- 18 years old
- resident of Arizona for at least 29 days
- elector (registered voter) of county or precinct of that county office
- able to read and write the English language
- not convicted of treason or a felony, unless restored to civil rights
- not adjudicated an incapacitated person
- for County Attorney, also must be licensed attorney in good standing (see ARS § 11-531)
- for School Superintendent, may need a basic or standard teaching certificate (see ARS § 15-301)
